The Urban Air Planning Forum, based at the Urban-Air Port city-centre vertiport in Coventry, UK, has been redesigned as a global, virtual event. The Planning Forum will be available to watch on-line, free of charge and will be held over two days, 10 and 11 May between 1400 hrs and 1600 hrs BST, with the same line-up of expert speakers, interspersed with video content and interviews. It brings together representatives of the local authority hosting the world’s first city-centre vertiport with security, industry and government urban air mobility experts from around the world. Interactive discussions will range from the strategic issues of integrating urban air mobility into long-term transport planning for local authorities to day-to-day operational issues. The new event will feature video presentations of the passenger experience of using a vertiport and current unknown challenges facing industry in areas such as eVTOL charging and parking, airspace integration and security procedures.
